DeepDye Colouring

DeepDye Colouring is a premium finishing process for MJF 3D printed parts, turning their natural grey tone into a rich, deep black. Powered by DyeMansion’s advanced DM60 technology, the dye penetrates the material at a molecular level, delivering a consistent, professional finish without affecting part geometry.

Beyond aesthetics, DeepDye Colouring enhances the technical performance of your parts. The process has been tested for light and heat resistance, making it suitable for outdoor and high-temperature environments. It’s also certified for skin contact safety, meeting standards for cytotoxicity and irritation—ideal for wearables, prosthetics, and consumer-facing products.

With ISO-certified quality and long-lasting colour fastness, DeepDye Colouring is the ideal solution for functional prototypes and end-use parts that demand both durability and visual appeal.

PolyShot Surfacing

PolyShot Surfacing is a standard feature for all black Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) dyed parts and is also available as an optional upgrade for natural grey MJF parts. This advanced finishing process significantly improves the visual appeal and tactile quality of 3D printed components.

Using a high-precision blasting technique, fine media is directed at the surface of the parts to smooth and polish the exterior. The result is a more refined, uniform finish that enhances both aesthetics and functionality.

Parts treated with this surface finishing method not only look and feel superior—they are also more durable, resistant to scratches and fingerprints, and easier to clean and maintain.

Vapour Smoothing

Vapour smoothing is an advanced post-processing technique used to enhance the surface quality of 3D printed parts. Unlike PolyShot surfacing, this method involves placing the printed component in a controlled chamber where solvent vapour condenses on the surface. This creates a gentle chemical melt that reflows the outer material, effectively smoothing out layer lines, pores, and minor imperfections.

The result is a sleek, polished, and glossy finish that not only improves the visual appeal but also boosts the part’s performance. Vapour-smoothed parts benefit from increased resistance to fatigue, impact, and crack formation. Additionally, the smoother surface enhances water resistance, making the parts easier to clean and maintain—ideal for both functional and aesthetic applications.
