Prototyping & batch production
SLS (flexible) TPU Printing
If you’re looking for flexible prints with all the benefits of powder based printing, our SLS TPU printing service is an ideal way to tick all the boxes for one off or batch production quantities.
The flexible TPU 90A material combined with the SLS printing process is a great choice to create complex, resilient and skin-safe parts with the freedom of design offered by the powder-based printing process. Unlike our FDM based TPU printing, SLS doesn’t require support material meaning all surfaces have a consistent surface finish regardless of orientation.
Our TPU has high 310% elongation at break and 8.7MPa ultimate tensile strength, making it ideal to produce flexible, functional parts able to withstand the demands of everyday use. As is the case with our MJF printing service the surface texture has a fine granular surface texture and is available in both natural grey or dyed black finishes.
Combining the capabilities of the SLS printing process and TPU 90A opens the door to innovative design features such as varying flexibility in a single part. Varying part thickness and even adding lattice style structures gives complete design freedom to explore possibilities.

Common Applications
There are a wide variety of end-use applications that need the combination of both toughness and flexibility. Applications that benefit from being soft to the touch, and applications that need to be validated for skin contact or offer water tightness, for example.
- Gaskets, seals, masks, belts, tubing
- Wearables, handles, straps and buttons
- Orthotics and other medical aids
- Cushioning and dampening applications
Specifications
- Print layer thickness 110 microns
- Largest Part Size: 152 x 152 x 294 mm
